Dates w/ Bruno Major

Regarded as one of New Zealand’s most promising voices, Georgie Clifford is trailblazing a brand new sound for jazz and R&B music. Filtered through the lens of classic New Zealand soul and old school R&B, her new take on jazz marries them together with her impeccable musical training.

Her proficiency on multiple instruments has captured the attention of many notable musicians worldwide. Erykah Badu, Cory Henry and Ambrose Akinmusire are just a few of her musical heroes who have reached out and sent their best wishes and support. Her unique voice and sensitivity unifies a global audience, so many of whom have joined her ever growing social media platforms. After seeing Georgie’s unique IG posts, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest, Lucy Pearl, The Midnight Hour), was so moved by her fresh take as to offer her his genius in producing her debut album.

Aiming for a release in 2020, her album is the amalgamation of her love of complex harmonic voicings, simple, soulful grooves and storytelling through a voice that shimmers creating a mesmerizing atmosphere of music, making her a true pioneer of the new jazz hybrid landscape.

She will be accompanying Bruno Major on his world tour, beginning mid-January to mid-April 2020. She will be presented as the opener on some of these dates, so stay tuned for tour dates on her site.
